A soundtrack direction matched to your space

Tailored to your business type, brand personality, and the way you want guests to feel โ€” not what you happen to like personally.

The brain science behind it

Every direction is grounded in published research on how music shapes emotion, behavior, dwell time, and spend in real commercial environments.

A starting point

Move from "we should probably change our music" to a clear recommendation you can take to ownership, operations, or design with confidence.

Hospitality & Hotels

A hotel's soundtrack helps set the tone before a guest ever reaches the room. The right music can make a lobby feel more welcoming, a bar feel more alive, and a spa feel more settled, while keeping the brand experience connected across the property.

Casino floor with dramatic lighting

Casino & Entertainment

In casinos and entertainment spaces, music helps control the energy of the room. The right soundtrack keeps the floor feeling alive, supports movement through the space, and gives each area the right pace without pulling attention from the experience.

Upscale restaurant interior

Restaurants & Dining

Music helps a restaurant move with the day. Breakfast should feel easy, lunch should feel efficient, dinner should feel warm, and the bar should feel alive. The right soundtrack keeps the room in rhythm with the meal, the guests, and the brand.

Modern retail boutique storefront

Retail & Lifestyle

In retail, music becomes part of how the brand is experienced. The right soundtrack can shape the pace of browsing, make the space feel more inviting, and encourage customers to stay longer while they explore. When it fits the brand, the store feels more distinctive and less like a room full of products.

Modern luxury multifamily lobby

Multifamily & Real Estate

A prospect may forget the exact floor plan, but they remember how the community felt. Music helps leasing offices, lobbies, clubrooms, and amenity spaces feel more welcoming and more connected to the lifestyle residents are being invited into.

Premium bank branch interior

Banking & Financial

A financial space should not feel cold, silent, or transactional. Music can make branches, advisory rooms, and wealth lounges feel more welcoming and easier to spend time in, while keeping the conversation at the center.

The Wrong Music Is Worse Than No Music.

The science is clear: when the soundtrack doesn't fit the space, guests feel it before they can name it. The pace breaks. The vibe drops. Conversation falters. People leave sooner than they planned to, and spend less while they're there.

The biggest risk isn't bad music โ€” it's generic music. A playlist no one chose, that fits nobody specifically, signals to your guests that nothing about their experience was designed on purpose.

Your competitors who invest in custom soundtracks aren't paying for a song catalog. They're paying for the operational discipline to make every hour of every day feel intentional.

The question isn't whether music affects your business. It's whether you're choosing what it says about you.

What Happens When the Music Changes

Across real venues and client surveys, Ambiance Radio has been shown to improve how guests feel, stay, and remember the experience.

Every program is built on the Science of Music โ€” our proprietary methodology that translates four decades of neuroscience and field research into a soundtrack designed for your space.

Rollout & Ongoing Support

Streaming hardware sized to your zones. Centralized control across single or multi-site portfolios. And a U.S.-based help desk available seven days a week. The reason 92% of our clients rate us "better than competitors" isn't the music โ€” it's that the program actually runs.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What do we actually receive?

A custom-designed soundtrack direction, hand-curated by our music team, delivered through streaming hardware sized to your space. Daypart variation, brand-matched curation, centralized control if you have multiple sites, and ongoing service from a real team โ€” not a self-serve app.

2. How is it different from Spotify, Pandora, or a generic streaming service?

Consumer streaming services aren't licensed for commercial use (you'll get fined eventually). They also don't know anything about your brand, your dwell time, your dayparts, or your customer demographic. We build a soundtrack designed for your space โ€” and we keep it current.

3. How much does it cost?

Programs scale to number of zones, locations, and service level. Most single-location programs start in the low hundreds per month. Multi-site programs are quoted on portfolio scope. We'll scope yours after the quiz or a 30-minute call.

4. How is it installed?

We provide streaming hardware (or work with your existing audio infrastructure where possible). Installation is typically a half-day per location. For multi-site rollouts we coordinate phased deployment โ€” the way we did with Panda Express across 1,350+ locations.

5. Can the music change throughout the day?

Yes. That's actually one of the most measurable lift opportunities โ€” Cornell's field study at Hard Rock Hotel showed a 12% dinner check lift directly attributable to a daypart-aware program. Breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner, late-night โ€” every daypart can have its own feel.

6. Is the music properly licensed for commercial use?

Yes. All music is fully licensed for public performance in commercial venues. You're covered.

7. Can we trial before we commit?

Yes. We offer a single-location pilot for clients evaluating a multi-site rollout. Talk to our team to scope it.

8. Do you handle the AV side too?

Yes. Ambiance iQ is also a full-service commercial AV integrator. From speakers and amplifiers to zoning, controls, and digital signage, we can design, install, and service the audio-visual systems that bring the soundtrack to life โ€” across a single venue or a national rollout.
